No Comments Vitamin K deficiency is a very rare condition that normally triggers after taking antibiotics orally for a prolonged period of time.
This deficiency may affect people of all ages. Infants may have this kind of deficiency and disclosed to have affected at least fifty per cent of infants below five days old. Adult persons although had been affected by this disease but in very rare cases only.
People affected by this deficiency are prone to bruises and bleeding. Vitamin K can be absorbed by the body through the food we eat. Vitamin K foods include green, leafy vegetables. This can also found in oils produced by soybean, canola, olive oils and cottonseed.

The deficiency problem comes in when the body failed to absorb the said food content from the intestinal tract. There are various vitamin K benefits that a person can get. This plays a major role in clotting of blood.
Since vitamin K is significant to form several substances working together to clot the blood, this prevents excessive bleeding. When a person gets injured and lacks in vitamin K, the risk of profuse bleeding is very high. This means that a person may lost some blood and further leads to blood transfusion as needed. If you want to reduce your calorie intake, it is safe to go for fruits and vegetables diet. Fruits are easier to digest compared to any other source of carbohydrates and protein. These are very good substitute to other types of food if you face hunger. With this you will satisfy your hunger and at the same time assured of lower calorie intake.
